Keyless Entry System
Keyless entry systems are an effective method of securing your rental property, without having to use physical keys. These systems enable guests and tenants to access the building by using a code or their smartphones. These systems can be used with intercoms to allow video and audio communication. This provides tenants with a variety of options to enter a building. Some keyless entry systems use cloud-based technology that allows them to be controlled remotely. They also provide more advanced features.
Keyless entry systems can be installed in any commercial or residential property. First, the hardware has to be installed at each entryway. The system then needs to be configured and managed via a central console or through a smartphone application. The keyless entry system market is expected to grow at an annual rate of 11.8 percent between 2016 and 2022, according to Technavio. The market's growth is attributed to the increasing demand for security systems in commercial vehicles.
Many people fear being locked out of their homes, and so they will often keep the spare key in a safe place. This practice poses a serious security risk, as criminals know where they keep their keys and are able to easily locate the keys. To avoid this happening, you should have an entry system with a keyless lock installed at your home. This will keep you from ever being locked out of your house again.
Transponder Chip

The transponder chip or "chip key" is an electronic microchip integrated into the head of your car key. It's also one of the main security layers in your car. The term "transponder" is derived from the combination transmitter and responder. This is because, after the key has been placed in the ignition and the key is turned on into the ignition, the antenna of your car sends a burst radio frequency energy to a transponder chip. The chip responds by sending its own unique identification code to the antenna ring and the car's computers can decipher that information and determine whether or not it's a legitimate key.
The key must be a transponder one to start the car, if it is not, then the vehicle will be immobilized. The chip is protected by a special polycarbonate layer that blocks it from being copied by regular mechanical keys or copied using laser equipment. Beishir Lock and Security carries an extensive selection of transponder keys at less than the price of dealerships selling cars.
Transponder chips first began to gain popularity in the 1980's when GM introduced them in the Corvette. The technology significantly reduced the number of vehicle thefts as it made hot-wiring obsolete in the past. This is the most basic explanation of chip keys. Immobiliser System
The engine immobiliser system (also known as the anti-theft) is a vital aspect of your car's security. When you insert your key into the ignition switch or Smart Key fob, the transponder chip inside sends a code to your vehicle's Electronic Control Unit (ECU). The ECU examines whether the code that is sent by the chip matches the one stored in it prior to allowing the engine to start.
The immobiliser of your car was designed to protect you from theft in this manner. If the code on the chip isn't compatible the code in the chip, the ECU stops the flow of current to the fuel pump relay and the injection system, keeping the engine from beginning. In addition the immobiliser could disable the starter motor or the ignition coil in order to prevent the engine from being started by force.
Unfortunately the system isn't completely secure. Thieves could crack the code used to unlock the immobiliser on your car and make it start. The most recent versions of the system use more cryptographic codes that will make it difficult to figure out.
Since 1998 immobilisers on cars have been required. However, many cars already had basic systems in place. Although an immobiliser makes it more difficult for thieves to steal a car, it doesn't stop thieves from towing your vehicle away or breaking in to steal your possessions.
Key Replacement
Losing a key or remote fob can be expensive and a hassle. A locksmith must gain access to the vehicle, decode the VIN or run it, and then reprogram the replacement key to erase all signatures that were previously stored in the computer for all keys that have been stolen or lost.
A key replacement will be more expensive if your vehicle is equipped with a transponder and/or integrated security chip. The chips transmit signals to your car that confirms that you are the driver and permit the doors to be opened or the engine to start. G28CarKeys for the replacement of a smart key is around $160.
ABUS strongly suggests that you register your key code within a few days of purchase so that you can easily order additional or spare keys in the future. Enter your Key Code in the checkout page, and choose CANADA for your shipping country. You can also register a key based upon photographs of your spare key taken from certain angles.
